One big service that our independent status allows us to spotlight is our Pet Health Club. Not only do PHC members have their yearly veterinary fees broken down into 12 monthly payments, but our offer of unlimited consults with our vets and nurses means that you have the time to talk to us about different treatment options and the best action for you and your pet without worrying about being on the clock.
All prices shown below include VAT at the current rate and are based on a standard case of minimal complexity — treatments or surgeries may cost more in more complex or complicated cases.

Prescriptions
Straightforward prescriptions, handled properly.
All medicines we supply come from reputable sources and meet current legal requirements. No shortcuts, ever.
If your pet needs a Prescription Only Medicine (POM-V), you can get it directly from us or request a written prescription to use elsewhere. POM-Vs can only be issued for animals under our care, so if you’re not already a Pennard client, we’d love to welcome you.
A few things to know:
- If your pet is staying with us as an in-patient, or needs treatment urgently, a written prescription may not be the right route, but we’ll always explain why.
- Just ask and we’ll give you a full price breakdown for any medicine before prescribing.
- Pets on repeat prescriptions are reviewed every 6 months as standard, though this can vary depending on your pet’s needs and your vet’s clinical judgement. These re-examination appointments are £65, or included as one of the many benefits of being a Pet Health Club member.
- There’s a £21 charge for a written prescription.
